Founded in 1951, Amideast is a leading American nonprofit organization engaged in international education, training, and development activities in the Middle East and North Africa. We believe that self-forged, fulfilled lives lead to understanding, mutual respect, and a more peaceful, productive world. For over 50 years, Amideast/Lebanon has served as a vital link between the Lebanese and the American people. Our work has focused on supporting the entire community in Lebanon in their pursuit of higher education and professional growth. We provide a range of professional training, educational, scholarship, and development programs in Lebanon, touching the lives of over 33,000 individuals each year in programs throughout Lebanon and across the region.
